As a follow-on challenge from this years Llandudno Sea Swim, next year there is a series of outdoor Lake District swim events in Coniston, Derwent Water & Ullswater in May, June & July respectively. Each event has three distances to choose from, namely 500m, 1600m(1 mile) and 3.8Km.
I haven't discussed this with anyone from the club yet, but I suspect there will be a good level of interest for some or all of these events.
Wet suits are compulsory - but these can be hired out from various places if needed.
